Custom Guidelines FAQ
What file types do I need for printing?
We require vector artwork for all
printed designs. Preferred file types include:
- .AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- .EPS
- .SVG
- .PDF (only if truly vector)
Important:
All fonts must be converted to outlines/paths before submission.
If you're using logos from a sponsor or
outside organization, request the original vector file—they almost
always have one.
What if I don’t have a vector file?
Ask your sponsor or designer to send the
vector version of the logo. If that’s not possible, we can recreate your design
for a fee of $30–$50, depending on the complexity.
What file types are NOT accepted?
Files ending in the following extensions
are not vector and are generally not usable:
- .JPG, .GIF, .TIF, .BMP
- .DOC (Word documents)
- .PPT (PowerPoint presentations)
- Screenshots or web images
- Business card photos
Can I submit high-resolution images instead?
We may accept high-res bitmap files if they
meet the following:
- Format: .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .PSD (layered)
- Minimum resolution: 150 PPI at actual print size
- Must have a transparent background (no white boxes)
Is my PDF file vector or raster?
Some PDF files may appear vector but are
actually raster images. Not sure?
Email us at 📧 sales@green-layer.com
— we’ll confirm it for you.
Can I use a logo from a website or business card?
No. These are low-resolution files meant
for screens, not printing. We need original or vector-quality artwork.
Why does artwork format matter?
Vector files ensure the design stays crisp
at any size and can be scaled for different apparel pieces. Submitting the
wrong format may delay your order and require a redraw fee.
Color Matching FAQ
How do I choose the right colors?
Use the Pantone/PMS color chart for
the most accurate match.
(You can view the chart here: [Insert Pantone link])
Note: Colors may appear differently on
computer monitors. For best accuracy, use a printed Pantone book or
color-calibrated screen.
